Hitch Series Trailer Keepers

by Doug Cavin on Jul.29, 2010, under Doug's Blogs, Product Reviews

Anyone who has ever flipped a jig knows the trailer gets pulled down or even completely pulled off at times. With the Hitch Series Trailer Keeper I can put a trailer on and basically forget about it. Think about how many times in a tournament you have to fix the trailer on a jig. Now think about how many times you do that in a season. By simply adding the trailer keeper in a matter of seconds it could save you literally hours throughout a tournament season.

While testing the Hitch Series products I intentionally flipped jigs to visible bluegills as we all know these are the culprits for the problems we have with jig trailers. Without the Hitch Series in place the expected happened, the trailer was pulled down and even a couple times completely off. After adding the Hitch Series both problems were automatically fixed. The trailer stayed in place and was never pulled off.

The Hitch Series Trailer keeper is simple to add, keeps the trailer in place and for the price of $3.99 a pack I feel it is a small price to pay for the amount of time I save. Below you will see a step by step of how simple the Hitch Series is to use. For more information on the Hitch Series products click here.

The trailer keeper easily slides over the hook point of my Omega Custom Tackle jigs

Once you have it over the hook you squeeze the Trailer Hitch and slide it over the keeper

Next you slide your favorite jig trailer in place and push ends into plastic
