Dean Burnett Named as New Yamaha VP

Dean Burnett, former vice president and general manager for Century Boats, has accepted the position of vice president for Yamaha Marine Group. Burnett succeeds Ben Speciale, who became President of Yamaha Marine Group on May 1.

Take Me Fishing Launches Boat Ramps App

To help boaters and anglers find boat ramps right in the palm of their hand, the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) today announced the launch of the Take Me Fishing ‘Boat Ramps’ application for iPhone and Droid phones. The free app, which is available in the Apple iTunes store and in the Droid Marketplace, features more than 35,000 boat ramps across the country.

FWC Unveils New Tool for Hauling, Stocking Largemouth

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) recently unveiled a new state-of-the-art aluminum haul box that will deliver largemouth bass and other freshwater fishes from the Florida Bass Conservation Center to public waters around the state. BASS/ESPN Outdoors funded the new tank and its beautiful Glen Lau-inspired wrap.

DC Fish Wholesaler and Employees Convicted for Illegally Harvested Striped Bass

Following a five-week trial, a fish wholesaler and two of its employees were found guilty with purchasing illegally harvested striped bass, known locally as rockfish, from the Potomac River in Virginia and Maryland from 1995 through 2007, the Justice Department announced today.
