Tennessee FLW Tour pro Ott DeFoe announced recently that he’s entered into a sponsorship agreement for the 2010 season with the Bass Pro Shops outlet in Sevierville, Tenn. He’ll run a BPS-wrapped Nitro Z-9 powered by a Mercury 250 Pro XS.

College Bass Expands Series

College Bass, the nation’s top collegiate bass fishing tournament series, announced today, that for the first time in its history, it will add a North Super Regional tournament to be held in Fort Madison, Iowa with the Mississippi River as a backdrop June 5-6. The morning launch will take place each day at daybreak at the Riverview Marina and the daily weigh-in at Riverview Park (716 Riverview Drive) at 3 p.m. CT. Two-person teams from regional schools will compete in a two-day cumulative weight format with a five-fish daily limit.

BASS announced today a new multi-year sponsorship agreement with Minn Kota®, the world’s leading trolling motor company. With the agreement, Minn Kota becomes an official sponsor of the Bassmaster Classic and Bassmaster Elite Series in addition to a supporting sponsor of the Bassmaster Opens.

Secret Lures Signs FLW Pros Voyles and Romans

Two up and coming FLW Pros, John Voyles and Christian Romans inked deals with Secret Lures. Voyles is a second-year pro on the FLW Tour having made his mark on the FLW American Fishing Series in 2008 finishing 4th in the Northern Division points. Romans is also a second-year pro on the FLW Tour and finished 10th in the points in FLW American Fishing Series in 2008.

Cabela’s King Kat returns to Pickwick-Wilson lakes

The Cabela’s King Kat tournament trail will hit the waters of the Pickwick/Wilson Lakes, March 20, 2010. This is the opportunity for local catfish anglers to compete for cash, prizes and a chance to advance to the Cabela’s King Kat Classic to be held this fall on a site to be announced.
